3D images of your brain's gray matter + white matter can be generated from your MRI data (usually saved on a CD for patients or study participants).
There are many types of images that can be generated depending on the types of images ordered by your neurologist or physician.
Type and quality of images depends on your MRI imaging orders (e.g., T1, T2, T3, and/or a diffusion weighted image (DWI).
3D images of your brain's morphometry depicts your brain's structural shape and grooves based on your T1 (or higher) weighted scan.

3D modeling visually represents nerve tracts using data collected by diffusion MRI. It uses special techniques of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computer-based diffusion MRI. The results are presented in two- and three-dimensional images called tractograms.
