Description
This item is identified and described in US Army TM E9-206A published in 1943 on German MG-34 General Purpose MG. Original copies are rare, but it was reprinted in late 1960s under title MG34; reprint copies are readily available on used book market. It is also shown in several volumes of Tanks in Detail book series which pertain to German tanks. Any German tank which included a MG34 among its armament, whether fixed or flexible, utilized this bag for ammo storage. As I recall, it holds 2 50-round belts, which were connected together. The leather flap is marked w/ wartime 3-letter maker code; there are no other markings. It was included in a WW2 US veteran's collection which I purchased more than 25 years ago. I have never seen another for sale. I will not accommodate third party transactions; name on shipping address must be same as name of winning bidder/buyer. International buyers can obtain a US shipping address at shipito.com or similar parcel-forwarding business, but will need to temporarily select this address as "preferred" in order to bid. Shipping cost below includes insurance for sale price.
