Original 1940s WWII Breslau Germany Print Panzer Man Soldier

Description

This portrait is something of a mystery since I bought it several years ago on ebay Germany.  It was sold as a painting which it is not (no brush strokes).  It is textured to mimic painting.  It is on period board and is marked Breslau which no longer exists (it's now wroclaw, Poland).  So I'm selling this as sort of a curiosity.  Please bid accordingly.  Measures about 18x 14-13/16".
Condition: As shown.  Some wear to the finish in spots and to the edges.
If you have any idea what this is, what process that was done to make this, or any information you think people would be interesting in knowing please let me know.
