    Description

Micro Seiki RX-1500VG “Full Choice Player” Vacuum Hold-Down Table, Dual Platters, EXCELLENT, SHIPS FROM USA
[PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BUYING/BIDDING. IT IS LONG, BUT IT EXPLAINS THE ITEM AND THE TERMS OF THE SALE]
    OVERVIEW
: This gorgeous turntable from Micro Seiki is an upgraded RX-1500VG model called the “Full Choice Player”, with vacuum hold-down. This model was among the last made by Micro Seiki of their “super tables”. Two platters are included, the aluminum alloy platter that is seen in most vacuum 1500s, plus a much heavier gunmetal bronze platter. Both platters are designed to be used with the included RP-1090 vacuum pump to pull LPs down tight onto the platter to prevent buzzing and resonance. The motor drives the platter with a Kevlar thread and is stable at both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm. Up to 4 tonearms can be installed at the same time. There is one set of silicone vacuum gaskets included that can, with great care, be transferred between the two platters. These are the two brown rings seen on the top surface of the bronze platter. (TechDAS/Air Force may sell these new today.) Since the RX-1500 was designed for the Japanese market, it requires 100 VAC rather than 117 to 120 VAC used in the USA. But, I will include a 500W step-down transformer that converts 120 VAC to 100VAC.
I am the second owner and I enjoyed it for a decade. So, why would I sell this legendary machine, you ask? Because I bought an even larger RX-5000 with a 50-pound stainless platter, and I don’t need both great tables.
    COSMETICS:
Truly excellent with paint fully intact on motor and base frame. It is probably as nice as almost any RX-1500 in existence. The decorative plastic dustcover that fits on top of the motor unit is in excellent condition, unlike most which are missing or cracked. The gunmetal bronze platter has the usual little scratches that all the Micro Seiki gunmetal platters have after decades of use, and it could probably use a more extensive polishing effort with Brasso or similar than I gave it, but it still looks very nice as it is.
    FUNCTION
: Completely stock and unmolested. All controls work and the two speeds are stable as seen by a stroboscope. The vacuum pump is strong. Bearings are smooth and quiet. Everything functions perfectly at present. Having said all that, as with all vintage items that I sell, this item is being sold "as-is" with no warranties, refunds or returns due to age. Since it is about 35 years old, I cannot guarantee how long it will continue to work without needing service, but I have every reason to expect the new owner will enjoy it for a very long time to come. These larger Micro Seikis were built like tanks and will be passed on to future generations.
I stand by my positive reputation and feedback.

    SHIPPING
: I pack vintage pieces with great care, even obsessively. The resulting package for this turntable is very large and very heavy (29” x 19” x 19”, and weighs 105 pounds). I used three of the original boxes but I placed them into one big heavier box for added strength. Shipping costs will not be cheap, but you can be assured that it should survive rough handling and long-distance shipping. I will use eBay's Global Shipping Program for applicable international shipments. I require a phone number for shipping documents. I will only ship to a PayPal-confirmed address for USA buyers. Please make sure your PayPal mailing address is 100% correct because it can be different than your eBay address.
In the rare case that an item is damaged in transit, buyer must contact seller within 3 business days of delivery. Buyer MUST retain all box and packing materials in order for us to file an insurance claim. Failure to retain packaging will void buyer’s right to receive insurance reimbursement or credit for shipping damages.
Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges, duties, VAT (value added tax), customs fees and any other fees, if applicable. Before bidding or buying, please check with your local postal carrier/customs office for more information about any possible fees. Under no circumstances is the seller liable for any additional fees charged to buyer. Seller will not adjust or falsify an item’s declared value for customs or importing purposes.
All shipments will be insured with signature required. In cases of high value items, additional insurance may apply - above eBay's calculated shipping price.
This item can also be picked up in the South Florida area, but only after the sale and payment are complete, to prevent “no shows”.
    TERMS
: Items must be paid for within 3 calendar days of winning the item unless "Buy It Now" is used which requires immediate payment. Payment must be made by PayPal (only) or by money-order or cashier’s check (which must still clear before shipping).
Under no circumstances shall seller be held responsible for any loss, damage or malfunction (including personal injury) resulting from or caused by buyer’s use of our items.
Per eBay policies, each offer or bid that you place enters you into a binding contract to complete a transaction. If a potential buyer cannot fully accept these terms and the risk that it implies, do not bid or buy.
