AUTHENTIC WWII GERMAN RING
Authentic WWII German ring measuring about size 9. Featuring a rectangular ring front embossed with a rearing horse in crest and the word "WESTFALEN." underneath, sides have simple scroll designs, and interior is unmarked - I can't tell what this is made of - it appears to be possibly brass over silver - it has not been tested.
Condition is good with fine scratching, finish wear and overall usage marks -- it has no chips, cracks, crushing or damage - it has not been polished and retains the original patina. Haven't a clue as to what the symbol represents. My father served in the Army in WWII and brought back a variety of German war souvenirs - he just told me he "picked it up in Germany" during the war -- I will provide his name once purchased - amazingly enough, he is still alive at 96!
Just an interesting piece of history - hoping someone knows the significance and would like to add it to their collection.
